Spinning FO…a bit late

Spinning FO: Wooly Mastadon

So this skein has been finished for over a week now, and I realized in my excitement about #TDF2015, that I simply forgot to post it here. I finished my braid of BFL in the Gumdrops colorway from Camelot Dyeworks. The crazy thing: I finished it in one week. I have never completely spun from start to finish a skein of yarn in one week. That is a record and I am super excited. However, it has been so hot and humid I put off soaking the yarn until last night, so it only makes sense that I share it here now. It is a lovely skein of 352 yards of a heavy fingering/light dk weight yarn from a 4oz braid. I am thinking this has to become a light spring shawl, but we shall see. As for other spinning, I have been happily working on my Copper Harbor merino/nylon blend fiber. I’ll share more on my progress for that later this week.
